On 15 January 2024, Amnesty Worldwide introduced that 5 brave human rights defenders from world wide have shared their hard-hitting tales on its new podcast: ‘On the Aspect of Humanity. How human rights defenders battle for our current and future’.
The three-part sequence was launched to mark the twenty fifth anniversary of the UN Declaration on Human Rights Defenders. The documentary explores how the human rights motion has developed for the reason that adoption of the watershed declaration.
Within the podcast, Amnesty Worldwide’s Tatyana Movshevich discovers the story behind the declaration and meets courageous activists from Chile, the USA, Nepal, Eire and Ghana, all of whom have been combating for the rights of marginalized individuals — and risking their lives within the course of.
