It is a momentous 12 months for the Nationwide Wildlife Refuge Affiliation and our nation’s wildlife wonders! As we mark the thirtieth anniversary of the Wildlife Refuge Awards this 12 months, we proudly announce the opening of nominations for 2024. These prestigious awards honor the extraordinary people who dedicate their lives to defending and conserving the Nationwide Wildlife Refuge System. From refuge managers and tireless staff to passionate volunteers, devoted Refuge Buddies teams, and vocal advocates, we search to acknowledge the outstanding achievements that make a distinction for wildlife and wild locations. Have you learnt somebody who embodies the spirit of nationwide wildlife refuge stewardship? Nominate them as we speak and be a part of the historic celebration!

Mark your calendars: Nominations are open as of February 7, 2024, and the deadline to submit your nomination is Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Award recipients shall be introduced in Could 2024 and can celebrated throughout the 2024 Wildlife Refuge Awards ceremony and celebration on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, in Washington, D.C.
